Ayurveda for Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

Systemic Lupus Erythematosus is a chronic autoimmune disease that confuses the body’s immune system to treat healthy tissues and organs as something foreign and to mistakenly attack them. Inflammations due to SLE can negatively impact other body parts and organs like: brain, heart, lungs, joints, blood cells, and more. People with an inherited predisposition for SLE can trigger the disease through close contact with various potential factors including the environment, i.e. medications, infections, viruses, stress, and exposure to sunlight.

SLE will give the patient complications if symptoms are left unchecked. Inflammations can damage the kidney, brain and nervous system that will lead to stroke, vision problems, seizures, etc., the patient can have anemia, vasculitis, pericarditis, pleurisy, cancer, pregnancy complications, and more.
